Health Insurance and Checkup

Health Requirements for Australian Student Visas

To obtain an Australian student visa, you must provide proof of good health. This requires a medical examination conducted by an authorized doctor.

Find an Authorized Doctor: Locate a doctor approved by the Australian government to conduct the necessary health check. You can find a list of authorized doctors on the Australian Department of Home Affairs website: https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/help-support/contact-us/offices-and-locations/list Once you’ve found an authorized doctor, contact their office to schedule an appointment.

While it’s generally recommended to complete a health check before applying for your student visa, you may be able to apply for it after submitting your application. However, obtaining the health check beforehand can expedite the visa processing.

In addition to a health check, you’ll need to have Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the entire duration of your visa. The OSHC coverage should align with your course length to ensure a seamless visa process.

Need Help with OSHC? We can assist you in arranging an OSHC policy through our partnerships with leading insurance providers.

Proof of Funds

Financial Requirements for Australian Student Visas

To obtain an Australian student visa, you must demonstrate sufficient funds to support your education and living expenses during your stay.

Funds Required for:

  • Travel Costs
  • Living Expenses
  • Tuition Fees

Financial Evidence: Provide documents that prove you have the necessary funds, such as bank statements or letters from financial institutions. If you’re applying for a student loan, submit a letter from the lender confirming your financial capacity.

Use the Document Checklist Tool: Refer to the official document checklist to determine the specific evidence required for your application. Our team can help you assess the exact amount of funds you need to demonstrate for your visa application.

Genuine Student Requirements

Student visa applications submitted on or after March 23, 2024, are evaluated under the new Genuine Student (GS) requirement. To meet this requirement, you must:

  • Answer New Questions: Provide detailed answers to specific questions in the online student visa application form. These questions cover your personal circumstances, reasons for choosing Australia and your intended course, and the benefits of completing the course.
  • Provide Comprehensive Information: Your answers should be written in English and limited to 150 words per question.
  • Demonstrate Genuine Intent: Visa officers will assess your circumstances in Pakistan, your potential situation in Australia, the value of the course for your future, your immigration history, and other relevant factors. If you’re a minor, your parent, legal guardian, or spouse’s intentions will also be considered.
